DIJ Media Pack 2020
media pack 2020 THE door industry journal forward features list for 2020 As our magazine has defined sections covering different industry sectors we have, for some years now, taken the decision not to provide a definitive “Forward Features List”. Prior to each issue we call for features based around the content of each section, on a first come first served basis. The sections of our publication cover: • Domestic Garage Doors (garage doors, automation products, spares, accessories and controls) • Industrial Doors and Shutters (warehouse doors, dock levellers, safety equipment and controls etc.) • Automated Gates and Barriers (gates, drive units, safety accessories, controls, barriers etc.) • Domestic and Commercial Entrance Doors (bi folding doors, patio doors, domestic front doors, shopfront doors, revolving doors, safety equipment and controls etc.) • Timber and Metal Doorsets (domestic and commercial, timber, steel or composite, internal and external, fire rated etc.) • Fire and Security (fire safety equipment for doors, CCTV, access control – video and audio etc.) • Locks and Building Hardware (ironmongery, locks etc.) We also request proposals for features that our advertisers and contributors would like us to include, thus turning the tables and giving you, the client, editorial control. So, just tell us what you want to have featured... • We can consider your ready-written works (or a synopsis). • We can commission a piece on a topic chosen by you. • We can write a piece for you based on your input. The decision is yours, just let us have details of what you would like to read, have reviewed or tested and we’ll work with you through to publication. Finally, in addition to the above, editorial opportunities exist for non-commercial content within our “Industry News” section. We also support with pre-show and post-show editorial, all major UK exhibitions and initiatives such as Gate Safety Week that cover our industry sectors. If you have any questions or wish to propose something for 2020, please do not hesitate to get in touch. HorizAL is aFrench-basedmanufacturerof high-quality aluminiumgates that, inpartnershipwithBritish company Alucorb Ltd, has launched its innovative “Portalier” installation concept across the country. The venture is run in theUKbyNickCorbett,M.D. atAlucorb Ltd. InFrance, “Portaliers” aregate installation expertswho are trained, approved and regulatedbyHorizAL and are licensed to install theproduct in theirowndesignated, and exclusivegeographical area.Adopting the samebusiness model as theFrench, each regionalUK “Portalier” is trained byAlucorb in all sales and technical aspectsofHorizAL swinging, slidingor cantilevered aluminiumgates, aswell as allother associatedproducts - such asmatchingpedestrian gates and fencing.Gates aredelivered straight to siteon request, withAlucorb also assistingwith each “Portalier’s” first installation. The concept isproving so successful thatAlucorb recently appointed aNationalSalesManager – JordanWoods – to copewithdemand. Jordan now has the jobofdealingwith the huge numbersof enquiries from installers interested in the concept, whilst also supporting the existing “Portalier” network to further increase their salesgrowth. “I havebeen staggeredby the scaleof interest andpotential for expansion there is,” comments Jordan. “Partly this is because the “Portalier” concept is sowell run and organised, offering installers an excellent ready-made businessmodel, knowing that theywillget thebestquality Massive Interest in the “Portalier” Concept Leads to Expansion at Aluminium Gate Firm Alucorb Ltd. Horizal gates combine good looks with strength and durabiity. In addition, woodengates tend not to closeproperlywhen they expand and can also twist - so need a lotofwork each year to keep them lookinggood andworkingproperly.” “WithHorizAL aluminiumgates you have noneof that. Many installers across the country have heard thatourwoodgrain finish aluminiumgates are incredibly realistic –butwith none of thequality issues related to timber, as they are naturally rust-free,weather resistant and require virtually no maintenance – so see us as an excellent alternative.” “Portaliers” alsoget theirown homepageon the horizal.co.ukwebsite, featuringpersonalised content, full colourbrochures, business cards, aprice list, technical brochures, colour catalogues anddemonstration caseswith all swing and slidinggateprofiles, handles, colours, fencing parts, glass inserts and hinge samples. Two samplegates – normallyonepowder-coated andonewoodgrain finish – are alsoprovided, inpaddedprotectivebags. And “Portaliers” nowbenefit from a new technical addition to theHorizALoperation - a 3D configuratorwith augmented reality, which installers can use to create a 3D recreationof any site todemonstrate to theirown customers, somethingwhich canonly enhance sales. In addition, “Portaliers” receiveon-goingmarketing support, which includes aHorizALpresence atmajor industry events, and exhibitions runbyAlucorb Ltd.Thesepromotebrand awarenessof theHorizAL name andproducts. And every “Portalier” has the right to visit a newUK training facilitywhenever they like for sales and/or installation training – e.g. for ‘refresher training’orwhen newmembers of staff need tobe instructed. This is completely inclusive in the “Portalier”package, with no additional costs involved. It’sperhaps not surprising just how fast the network is growing across theUK.And – asNickCorbett explains - further expansion ison the cards: “Thedemand tobepartof the “Portalier” network is just incredible, to the extent thatwe arebursting at the seams and – aswell as hiring new staffmembers like Jordan – biggerpremises are amust furtherdown the line! But that doesn’tmeanwedon’t have room formore installers. Ourmessage is thatwe are here for you – if you’re fed upwith your existing aluminiumgate supplier, orwant a superior alternative to timber, then talk to us.You can come up and see us, to look at howwework andwhatweoffer, orwe can come and see you. But, if you’re thinking about it, get in touch – theworst thing you cando is to siton the fence andpotentiallymissouton theopportunity to join what is a rapidlygrowing and successful network.” Don’tmissout – call 0161 4065910 today to discovermore aboutbecoming a “Portalier”.
