Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk Alutech first showing of the new Sectional Door at R+T When Alutech started distributing their sectional door some years ago in the UK, one of their key strategies was customer feedback. Strangely they mainly focused and welcomed negative feedback, as they knew from experience this would be the key to their success. Listening to your customers is a key strategy of Alutech said Steve Hudson MD of JD (UK) Ltd distributors of Alutech products in the UK. So after months of development Alutech are pleased to launch their new line of sectional doors - The Trend range. The Trend range covers both Extension spring and torsion spring versions offering size variants up to 6000mm wide and 3000mm high. A full range of standard and special RAL colours are available as well as the usual panel designs and finishes. So what’s new about the new Trend range! The door panel is 40mm thick with smart density foam filling which gives an impressive U value of 1.08 Wmk which is still better than most doors with comparable panels. Combine this with the polymer coating, which is a hard wearing external finish to the panel, Alutech now offers a 15 year* panel warranty on the Trend door panel! Not only that, but listening to your comments Alutech have introduced and improved the frame and hardware section of the Trend door. These include; New painted frame legs and “C” section facia profile, these are smooth in finish and allow the frame and facia section to protrude in to the structural opening by 50mm without any fixing holes being visible. Also included within these frame legs are new frame leg reinforcing brackets along with pre fitted narrow style EPDM seals which give excellent draught proofing against external elements. A new innovation for Alutech on the Trend range for extension spring doors is the introduction of full length spring covers which cover the door spring and cables, enhancing the visual appearance of the door within the frame leg area. This new addition has several benefits, not only does it protect against the possibility of finger entrapment it also acts as a thermal break reducing heat loss through the frame leg. 76 THE door industry journal spring 2015 garage doors Pre coloured frame leg profile C section fascia profile Section through pre-painted legs and integral seal
