industry news 23 THE door industry journal spring 2016 PROMOTION HELPS TAKE HÖRMANN SALES TEAM IN NEW DIRECTION The overall service provided by garage and industrial door manufacturer Hörmann will go from strength to strength following the recent promotion of Paul Harrison to key accounts manager. Having worked at Hörmann for over a decade, Paul had already accumulated a wealth of experience from the various positions undertaken across different departments within the company. Before starting in his new role, Paul had worked as an area sales manager and as service manager prior to that, providing him with the relevant knowledge and skills to excel as key accounts manager. In his new position, Paul will be overseeing all major contracts involving large-scale warehouses and distribution centres for Hörmann’s impressive client base, which includes John Lewis, Amazon and TNT. Paul will be working closely with contractors, architects and developers across the country to help specify and quote the correct doors and equipment for their projects. He will also be a consistent point of contact for end-users throughout the complete life cycle of their projects. Paul commented: “I’m really enjoying the variety that my new role brings. Due to the nature of the position I generally work closely with our clients at the front-end but I also spend a lot of time ensuring that our internal departments are collaborating and sharing information effectively. I’m looking forward to developing the key accounts side of the business and providing the best possible support for customers.” As key accounts manager, Paul has been tasked with strengthening the manufacturer’s relationship with trade partners, increasing efficiency and enhancing the level of service provided. The promotion comes as part of a wider initiative to improve operations within the Hörmann sales team. One of the major changes will be the introduction of a more flexible team that provides an all-encompassing service across both the industrial and domestic ranges. David Newcombe, managing director at Hörmann (UK) Ltd., said: “Paul has been a valued member of the Hörmann team for a number of years now and was an obvious choice for this newly developed role. We’re always looking for ways to further improve our service and Paul’s promotion and the recent changes to the sales team will help to achieve this.” For more information about Hörmann or to find out more about its product range and service packages, call 01530 513000 or visit www.hormann.co.uk Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk SOMFY LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE AT WWW.SOMFY.CO.UK Somfy recently announced the launch of a newly designed website focused on end users.
