This trend is set to continue thanks to the launch of SOMMER’s new generation DUO operator – the pro+. The pro+ has a separate housing that can be fitted to any garage wall or ceiling, saving time for the installer and money for the buyer, and retains all the modern features available on the base+ operator, which was launched in 2015. The pro+ also boasts a range of improvements and additional features, such as: • Bi-directional radio technology – The handheld transmitter vibrates when the operator receives the command, so you know the door is doing what you asked. The transmitter can also tell you if the door is open or closed. • Faster opening speed – A 240mm/s opening speed can be reached and adjusted with the SOMlink programmer • Environmentally-friendly lighting – The pro+ consumes < 1 watt in stand-by and lights up the garage via extra bright LED lights on the motor carriage. Additional lighting can be easily installed at the wall unit. You can also turn the lights on from your transmitter, or the separate control unit, without opening the door • Extra security – The manual release mechanism enables locking of your garage door even when the power is out, whilst an anti–burglar feature means the operator will drive the door closed under full power if it detects someone trying to break in. You can also add a 90db audible burglar alarm. • Many plug-and play features – Memory stick, humidity sensor, parking positioning laser, additional LED lighting strip, electric lock, lighting relay and battery backup are all available. Of course, the pro+ still has all the tried and tested SOMMER features, such as a self-locking motor carriage, easy manual release system, simple programming and direct drive motor with fixed chain.
