Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk 58 THE door industry journal spring 2016 JD (UK) Training Support JD (UK) will shortly commence training seminars for both sales persons and installers wishing to sell and promote Alutech sectional Trend doors and Avanti automation, as well as individual company training when required. These training sessions will concentrate on your needs, by providing focused sales training on the features and benefits of the new trend door and T8 Avanti automation, through to hands-on installation of the aforementioned items. These training seminars will be the start of the new “Accredited dealership scheme” to be announced shortly. These training session will be held at the new JD (UK) premises, in conjunction with the new installer training pod, where the Trend sectional door can be installed and removed, giving a good knowledge of how to install the Trend door correctly. Hands on installer training will lead you through the benefits and time saving features of the product, starting with the way the doors are delivered and packaged and then run through points such as; • Painted door frame construction • Ease of the new unique door track and with multiple hanging points • Simplicity of panel stacking and the ease of pre-assembled hinge and roller assemblies • Straightforward tensioning and balancing of the door. Followed by additional training on the installation of the Avanti T8 model to the door. Covering the simple setup procedure of the motor, with pre-coded handsets, and simple 1 press setting of the door limits and force setting. Finishing with documentation and certification overviews. Sales training will consist of a more in-depth product training focussing on the advantages of selling Alutech’s Trend range of sectional doors within the UK marketplace. This will include such points as; • Size and style overview of the Trend range • Unique side spring protection • Thermal properties of the door compared to current competitors • Features and benefits of the panels hardware and springs This session will also include an overview of the sales and marketing support offered by JD (UK) and Alutech.
