59 THE door industry journal spring 2016 THE NRG BLACKEDITION GARAGE DOOR OPENER - DESIGNED WITH INSTALLERS IN MIND The NRG Blackedition Garage Door Opener has been designed with YOU the installer in mind, giving you more choice and more flexibility on how to control automated garage doors. Ease of installation, safety, extra functionality, more choice and more add-ons were all taken in to consideration when designing the operator. As well as an extensive range of handsets and controls which are included in the cost of the operator, the motor is GSM compatible, which allows your customer to remotely access their garage door and give access to whoever they wish via text. This is a great way of quoting for automated garage doors for multi-access users, and saves repeat visits to site to code in handsets. The operator is supplied with built in energy saving LED lights which not only reduces running costs, but saves awkward conversations when standard bulbs fail within the warranty period. This is combined with a range of LED lights that can be wired straight into the motor, and be used as an external or internal light, or as a secondary courtesy light – all controlled from the garage door handset. The operator also has two courtesy alarms. The health check alarm sounds after 2000 cycles advising your customer that a check of the motor and door is due and should be booked. The second alarm sounds an alert if you leave the door open for more than 10 minutes. Safety is at the heart of the Blackedition, the reliable automatic safety cut-out securely stops the door if it encounters an obstacle and with manual release, manual operation of the door is achieved by releasing the drive mechanism from inside or outside the garage.
