Door Industry Journal - Spring 2017
Small improvements – great results Customers have always appreciated the quality of Ryterna side hinged doors and the increasing number of dealers in their network shows that the company is on the right track. Nevertheless, a demanding market requires constant improvements in quality, safety, convenience and insulation. Detailed below are some of the technical improvements made by Ryterna during last year. Door Stays – These stylish stays come with transparent yet robust plastic rods as standard. Unlocking the door stay is now a fast and easy job, regardless of how big the door is. This improvement now makes operation more convenient, especially for elderly or disabled people. Stainless Steel threshold cover – This additional option adds both style and elegance to the garage door. Manufactured from 1 mm thick brushed stainless steel profile, these thresholds are strong enough to bear the weight of cars. Unlike standard zinc coated/powder painted thresholds, which through normal usage will corrode once their protective coating has worn away, these superior stainless steel thresholds offer protection from corrosion. Hinge Bolts – These devices give higher burglar resistance. Additional safety is never too much. Thumb Turn – Purely a convenience option that allows you to open or close the garage door from inside without a key. New Rubber Sealing – A silicone rubber seal fitted all-round the perimeter. The seal is made from temperature resistant and non-aging soft tubular material and increases the U-value of the door whilst perfectly protecting the garage from the elements. Adjustable latch plate – Designed for use with standard and for 3 point locks. This standard option is appreciated by door installers. It gives the possibility to make final adjustments after door has been installed to achieve tight closing and smooth locking.
