Based in Nelson, Lancashire, the company is now the UK’s largest suppliers of industrial door components and can boast the widest product range in the door industry. This range has just been added to by the return of one of the country’s leading door brands – Bolton Brady – to the NVM fold. Managing Director John Seymour explains more: “We actually have a long history with Bolton Brady as, around fifty years ago, when Brady Doors was part of Walton’s foundry, North Valley Metal supplied them with engineered products and castings. Today – with us the largest supplier of roller shutter components in the UK and Bolton Brady one of the leading manufacturers and installers of roller shutters in the country – we’re linking up again. It’s a meeting of kindred spirits, as both brands are synonymous with reliability, quality and excellent product knowledge.” The partnership means NVM now stocks the Bolton Brady range of assemblies, which include single phase and 3 phase drives, as well as spring assisted, push-up and hand chain-operated barrels. Barrels are prepped at the drive end, fitted with a dummy end and include rivnuts. Two new arrivals to NVM’s product catalogue NVM has also welcomed two new arrivals to its product catalogue – the SDK110 series mainboard control panel and the Entex range of roller shutter springs. NVM has now been the sole UK and Ireland distributor for the Entex springs since August and stocks the company’s entire range of roller shutter torsion springs, which include springs for roller shutters and push-up barrels. As part of the agreement, NVM is honouring all prices, consignment stock agreements and delivery terms enjoyed by existing Entex customers. For customers who already use NVM’s own transport delivery service, torsion spring purchases are included in their delivery arrangements. The SDK110 series mainboard control panel, meanwhile, is NVM’s own product and is compatible with the SDK100 series kits, including motor, track and all control functions. The main advantage in this new product is the addition of full self-learning software, whilst the unit is also fully compliant with EN 16005. The product retains all the functionality of the standard SDK100 Series Panel including remote control, motion and presence sensors for threshold protection, multi-function switches, access control (push pads and buttons), and safety control (electric locks and photocells). The control panel also boasts an array of variable settings, including independent variable opening and closing speeds, independent variable buffer speeds, a digital display and independent function settings - including fully-open, partial- open, fully-closed, exit-only, and fully- automatic.
