Door Industry Journal - Spring 2019
THE door industry journal spring 2019 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk OPEN DOORS Working together….. dhf always welcomes the opportunity to work in conjunction with other trade bodies and organisations. An example of this is the collaboration with Building Research Establishment in providing Fire Door training courses since 2014. Another example are the dhf CSCS cards which are due to be launched in Spring 2019 and where dhf has worked with the Automatic Door Suppliers Association. Along similar lines, dhf has just published ‘A Guidance for Selecting Flat Entrance Doors’ . This publication has been done in conjunction with the Fire Industry Association and Secured by Design. It is aimed at housing associations, landlords, building owners and local authorities and offers a wealth of information and advice, which is particularly relevant post the Grenfell Tower block tragedy. In todays world of much conflict it is really encouraging that dhf can work in tandem with other organisations to promote best practice and safer products. As they say there is ‘strength in numbers’ .
