As the exclusive distributor for BBC Bircher Smart Access in the UK and Ireland, IN2 Access & Control Ltd. is pleased to preview upcoming products scheduled to be released this year to address these concerns. BBC Bircher have hit the ground running with no less than three new product developments for launch in the second quarter of 2019 (exact dates to be announced soon), all of which will be available from IN2 Access as they become available. Self-Assembly For many years now, customers have been requesting a safety edge system from BBC Bircher which combines its extreme reliability and proven performance in a simple self-assembly system. The new ExpertLine delivers this and more. Its unique switching chamber design and “push fit” connection will initially be launched in three size variants: 99, 74, and 49 mm, with further variants planned in the future. Billed as ‘safety edges by experts for experts,’ the new ExpertLine fully covers the aluminium profile for a sleek look that can be used discreetly in modern gate and door designs. Combined with BBC Bircher’s reputation for superior engineering and long-lasting quality, ExpertLine is sure to be a highly requested item upon launch. IN2 Access will announce UK availability on its website in April. Integrated Category 3 Wireless Transmitter Announced at the BAU 2019 World Trade Fair in Munich, Germany earlier this year, BBC Bircher will release an integrated category 3 wireless transmitter system that complements the new ExpertLine safety edge later in the year. The safety edge transmitter will be housed directly inside the profile itself. This offers installers the opportunity to make the gate look more aesthetically pleasing as well as reducing opportunities for tampering or vandalising of external transmitters. The integrated transmitter will be compatible with PLd, cat. 3 receivers such as BBC Bircher’s RFGate3. Industrial Combination Sensor Another product announced at BAU 2019 is the highly- anticipated industrial combination sensor, the Helios2T. This system offers activation via microwave sensing technology and threshold detection utilising active infra-red sensing on industrial doors up to seven metres. The combination system will feature advanced object recognition as well as cross- traffic masking. Similar in theory to BBC Bircher’s popular PrimeTec line for pedestrian doors, this new combination sensor is specifically designed for industrial doors due its increased detection field and mounting height of up to seven metres. Additionally, this sensor will allow full configuration via smartphone using Bluetooth technology. Release date has yet to be announced, but details will be available on the IN2 Access website and social media channels. “We are pleased to be BBC Bircher’s exclusive partner in the UK and Ireland,” says Sales and Marketing Director Derek Foreman. “That partnership allows us to offer the best products to the marketplace first. We work directly with Bircher on market feedback and what we hear from our customers is the need for systems that solve particular issues – which these do. “The ExpertLine is an exciting innovation in that it combines the ease and cost efficiency of self-assembly with Bircher’s known engineering and quality. We look forward to releasing availability information soon.” W: www.in2access.co.uk T: 01691 655150 E: sales@in2access.co.uk facebook.com/IN2access twitter.com/IN2access Bircher’s new ExpertLine self-assembly safety edge and components The Helios2T industrial door combination sensor
