The specialist folding door division of Alliance Door Engineering Ltd, was originally recommended to Mark Johnston by a fellow aviator, who’d had the Ram-Fold sliding, folding shutter installed on his own hangar and Mark, also suitability impressed, has now utilized the Ram-Fold door twice, with a similar sized folding door fitted previously on an older hangar. The specific nature of the site requires the doors to be bi-parting, driven by motors on both sides which can be independently operated via remote control transmitters. Optimal safety around the door threshold is ensured by utilising multiple high precision, laser beam technology BEA safety sensors. The shutter leaves bunch clear of the opening, providing maximum clear opening dimensions. The work has now ensured Mark has a hanger door capable of providing the required space and security to accommodate multiple aircraft.
