Consisting of a strong, aluminium profile, SeceuroShield 38 can span widths up to 4000 mm and boasts exceptional versatility with the option of internal and external installation and extensive powder coating options. Also available within the range is an LPCB and Secured by Design version, the SeceuroShield 3801 and a SeceuroVision 38, a profile offering either punched or perforated slats, allowing up to 45% vision. SWS UK’s latest innovations, which will be available in April 2020, have resulted in the ability to offer new options which will be supplied as standard in addition to some exciting new USPs, all designed to assist their distributors in closing the sale with their clients. So, what’s new? Bottom Lath Retention with Guides Providing increased protection of a curtain being pulled out from guide channels. Hidden Upper Limit A common reason for emergency callouts is the result of the curtain exceeding the upper limit of travel, thus causing a mechanical failure. This can be due to a number of reasons from window cleaners pushing a curtain up to allow easier access for cleaning and not returning it to the original position, to an accidental operation on to an object, such as an open window. This interrogated stop is designed so as not to detract from the visual aesthetics. Guide Foot Anchor This addition allows for a ground fixing point, whilst also increasing rigidity of the guide channel from being prised open. This is achieved without an external presence, ensuring the aesthetics of the shutter are retained. Taller curvier slat replaces SeceuroShield 150 aluminium slat SWS UK’s SeceuroShield 150 aluminium slat is being replaced with a new, taller slat. Named as SeceuroShield 150/T the new slat features a slightly curvier profile and is 2mm taller than the original design. Despite its extra height, the new profile is slightly lighter with a denser insulating foam. This increases the sturdiness of the foam, enabling SWS to manufacture shutters up to 400mm wider. The new SeceuroShield 150/T uses a double skin, foam-filled aluminium slat measuring 42mm in height and will be instantly distinguishable from the previous SeceuroShield 150 slat thanks to its denser, pink foam insulation. Supplied in white as standard SWS UK is pleased to be able to offer a wider selection of colours with the new slat profile. Aside from the slight differences detailed above, the new slat is identical to the previous design and can be specified and installed as before. The original SeceuroShield 150 slat is being discontinued by SWS UK’s supplier and whilst they will be retaining some stock for repairs, this slat will soon be phased out and replaced with the SeceuroShield 150/T on future orders.
