The venture is run in the UK by Darren Weatherill, Operations Director at Alucorb Ltd. In France, ‘Portaliers’ are gate installation experts who are trained, approved/regulated by HorizAL and are licensed to install the product in their own designated, and exclusive geographical area. Adopting the same business model as the French, each regional UK ‘Portalier’ is trained by Alucorb in all sales and technical aspects of HorizAL swinging, sliding or cantilevered aluminium gates, as well as all other associated products - such as matching pedestrian gates and fencing. The model has proved so successful in the UK that Alucorb is now officially the largest spending ‘Portalier’ in the whole of Europe, surpassing major markets such as Germany, the Benelux countries – and even France itself.
