The R+T digital organised by Messe Stuttgart centred around the R+T Innovation Award. Reactions to the new format were very positive, convincing 135 exhibitors from 19 countries to register for the event. In total, approximately 100 entries from 13 countries were accepted for the pre-judgement stage across all eleven product categories. The Telecody Courier means it is no longer necessary to collect a parcel from a parcel shop, packing station or neighbour. All it takes is a short trip to the garage. The smart function from SOMMER allows the delivery service employee to deposit a parcel safely in your garage. You can choose between two security levels, as the door can be slightly opened via the red button on the Telecody Courier, or by using an individual numeric code. The amount the door opens is completely customisable, meaning you can ensure that the gap is wide enough for your specific parcel whilst not being a potential security risk. The parcels can be safely stowed in the garage, protected against the elements and access from third parties. The access code is assigned individually, and the opening function can be switched off at any time. Your parcel can’t be delivered because no-one is home? Give the courier permission in advance to deliver the parcel to your garage. The storage location and access code can be entered in the shipment tracking on the courier’s website or app. The courier can deposit parcels in the garage using the predefined access code. An access code can be stored, or the red button for the courier function can be used as an alternative. The stored hold open time is 15 seconds, which allows plenty of time for the courier to deposit your package. The height the door opens to for the courier is completely custom and based on opening time. The factory setting for this is 3 seconds, which corresponds to an opening of 30cm as the door opens at 10cm per second. The transmitter is based on the 12-command handheld transmitter Telecody +, which can be attached to the outside of the garage door, or any other surface with the supplied aluminium wall bracket. The transmitter is weatherproof, meaning it can be left outside next to the garage in the elements for your convenience.
