On the 25th of May 2022, AlluGuard is holding an open day, hosted by Somfy. The event will showcase all the recent product developments from AlluGuard – the extended colour ranges, the new design AlluGuard 55 and updates to the AlluGuard 77. AlluGuard’s hosts, Somfy, will be presenting the future of smart home control and how to promote Somfy’s smart home controls as part of your garage door offering. Garage Door Installers Branching Out with Fire Shutter Training Aluroll is helping roller garage door installers branch out into new specialist products. The company is one of the few manufacturers who have retested and certified their fire shutters following the legislation updates after the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Full working models of the single and double skinned doors are available in Aluroll’s brand new showroom, with an experienced technical team on hand for training and demonstrations. The FS products have been certified to the latest legislation, meeting the BS EN 1634-1:2014 + A1 2018 standard for fire and smoke resistance alongside general other product quality standards. To achieve this rating all shutters have been tested by WarringtonFire and certified by Element Materials Technology (Notified Body no. 2812). The range includes: Single skinned steel (report: 419785, ext app: 428745): • 1 hour (FS60) • 2 hours (FS120) • 4 hours (FS240) Double skinned with insulating properties (report: 420961, ext app: 429558): • 2 hours (FS120i) All shutters are rated for fixing to masonry and steel, with the single skin also rated for flexible structures up to 2 hours.
