Sweeping changes have taken place at Novoferm as they continue their push to be the reliable door supplier of choice and a great place to work. What began with a sizeable investment to build the company’s front-end processes has continued to gain momentum, leading to a changing ethos companywide. As Novoferm enters a whole new era and reaffirms its position in the industry, we reflect below on the company’s latest efforts and how they will benefit customers moving forward. A Fresh Attitude Backed by New Values Following the arrival of the new UK Group MD, Robin Baker, a new plan was laid out that led to fundamental changes backed by sizeable investments. As of early 2022, the many aspects of this vision are coming to fruition, reinforced by the focus on widening market appeal while nurturing employee development and happiness. The company has a fresh new attitude underpinned by a new set of values recently unveiled. ‘Protecting People’ focuses on a Safety culture with a commitment to improving internal practices to protect all colleagues and those in the communities in which we interact. ‘Customer First’ looks at identifying solutions that help the team deliver solutions that exceed expectations. Customers are supported throughout the lifecycle of Novoferm’s products. ‘Moving Forward’ is the energised commitment to continuous improvement by anticipating and adapting to changing requirements. New ideas are welcomed with an open mind. ‘Performance Promise’ is about keeping promises, driving new ideas to realisation with speed and an obsession for customer-driven quality. Novoferm has embraced a “can-do” attitude. Lastly, ‘Togetherness and Trust’ are about working together, encouraging participation, sharing information and ideas, and learning to trust and respect one another. Novoferm characterises its behaviour by its high ethical standards. Kickstarting the Next Era Following our values, that colleagues are the most important asset any business has, Novoferm has shifted its focus now to coaching and developing individuals. As a result, innovation and engagement are incentivised, and careers are made. As part of the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, Novoferm recently took on two apprentices. As a testament to the shifting workplace culture, both stayed with the company after graduating from the scheme. Two more apprentices have recently joined the company’s ranks, and it is hoped that they too will remain upon graduation. What Else is New? Novoferm’s management has taken a close look at other critical areas where improvements can be made, such as production planning. There has also been a push to improve operations in all areas, from Health and Safety to much-needed upgrades and new equipment for the manufacturing side of the business. Lastly, Novoferm’s transport division has been enhanced further to enable the company to respond to increasing supplier demands. Introducing New Products and an Expanded Range Novoferm is expanding the selection of the doors that they can craft. Customers will have access to a new and improved selection of doors with a greater number of customisable options, including colours and finishes. More details can be found in Novoferm’s new upcoming brochure – the first released in more than ten years. So, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for when the new brochure is released.
