In this article, we hear Nader’s insights into what it’s really like working for Strongdor. What is your role at Strongdor? “I have spent most of my experience in the door industry working in Lebanon as a Technical & Quality Manager for a steel door manufacturer since 2001. When I came across Strongdor, I was eager to introduce myself and bring my experience to their business. After a visit from Managing Director Tim and Operations Director Matt, I received a sponsorship so that my family and I could move to the UK. I now work as the Technical Manager for Strongdor, working as part of the Research and Development team. My role involves keeping up-to-date with the current and most recent legislation, ensuring our doors meet or exceed these, and creating new doors to put through testing to offer a more extensive range to customers.” What do you love about working for Strongdor? “The feeling of us being one big family, we all support each other to work towards the same goals. It is an exceptionally nice work environment to be in.” How long have you worked at Strongdor? “I have worked at Strongdor for 2 years now, the time has gone so fast!” What’s something most people don’t know about you? “In addition to being a Mechanical Engineer, most people probably don’t know that I am also a professional Emergency Medical Technician. I have volunteered for 22 years with the Lebanese Red Cross to help support others in their time of need.” If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? “One thing I would love to learn would probably be the skill of welding. It is a specialist skill and one I have always had an interest in when seeing the team at work in the factory.” What’s your favourite motto/quote? “The answer is Yes, now what is the question?” Have you liked our Facebook page yet?
