Everyone at Ellard truly believes in investing in all of their employees and aiding them in their development. The company offers numerous training sessions that employees can choose to partake in and have monthly one-to-ones in which progression objectives are set, as well as numerous other development schemes rolled out throughout the business. You can truly see the positive effect this has had on the business and all the employees. Ellard’s Operations Director, Mark Molyneux, is a perfect example of the development of employees within Ellard. Mark Molyneux joined NRG Automation in 2016, as Warehouse and Purchasing Manager. The role entailed aiding in the development of the company through growth phases, whilst managing the stock profile to ensure business continuity in the confines of budgeting and cash flow. During the Ellard and NRG Automation merger in early 2019, Mark joined Ellard in the Purchasing Manager role. This role focused on looking after the combined spending of both businesses, whilst focusing on building strong relationships with all stakeholders within the supply chain. By late 2019, Mark moved into a new role, Head of Operations. Whilst maintaining the purchasing role, he undertook the role of overseeing the warehouse and logistics. This enabled him to better understand the end-to-end supply chain, including the order journey to the end user. This was the first step he took into a more people-focused role. In 2020, the role was expanded to include Key Account Management. This incorporated looking after key accounts within the operational side of the business. Mark worked on planning, forecasting and developing strong working relationships that ensure and maintain a smooth journey for all involved. His role gained more responsibility in 2021, as Operations Director, he now has a direct effect on making and affecting the strategic direction of Ellard’s future. The role was further expanded in late 2022, to include the sales department, working closely with internal and external teams to promote, develop and maintain existing customers. This comprehensive view of Ellard allows Mark to manage every step of the journey, from when the company gets an order to when the customer receives their delivery. This allows for a straightforward, easily managed and developed process. Mark Molyneux’s progression throughout the years, is a prime example of Ellard’s investment in people and the implementation of its core values. Mark is now in a role that has a direct impact on the direction of Ellard, but by having progressed through the business and learnt from each of his roles, he can ensure he always demonstrates quality and integrity within his role. www.ellard.co.uk New Openings at Country Gates and Barriers Country Gates and Barriers, specialists in the installation of all types of commercial and residential perimeter products, are delighted to announce the appointment last November of Antony Parker as its new Operations Director.
