A springless sectional door by virtue has no torsion springs. Torque is achieved via a powerful motor, a motor support and other angular bearing plates provide the same performance as a standard sectional door with balancing springs. After the introduction of the spring-less sectional doors some years ago, development continued because there was a desire for an aluminium tube. Weight and a more favourable price were also the main factors behind this development, the type FLA resulted from this. The springless doors can be used with 40mm, 60mm and 80mm industrial door panels, ISO and ALU combined or ISO or ALU only. Here is a list of the advantages of spring-less sectional doors: • The solution for intensive use sectional doors, up to at least 100,000 cycles in combination with the number of movements per hour: FLL approx. 20 and FLA approx. 10. • Easier to install due to no heavy springs and therefore less strain on fitters. • No maintenance on springs which significantly reduces maintenance costs at the end customer. • Higher speed with FU motor (option for FLL, standard for FLA). • No contamination by grease or corrosion in food environment Properties Type FLL Type FLA Maximum door width 8.000 mm 10.000 mm Maximum door height 5.000 mm 6.000 mm Maximum door leaf weight 368 kg 530 kg Maximum surface area 40mm doors* 24 m2 35 m2 Maximum surface area 40mm doors, heavy filling* 23 m2 33 m2 Maximum surface area 60mm doors* 21 m2 31 m2 Maximum surface area 60mm doors, heavy filling* 20 m2 30 m2 Maximum surface area 80 mm doors** 19 m2 29 m2 Suitable for T240, T340, T400, T450, T500 T400, T450, T500 * The maximum door leaf weight is leading; the actual permitted maximum area (m2) may differ from the specification.
