Hörmann Expands Marketing Team Hörmann has welcomed two new colleagues, Grace Hopkinson and Isabelle Stratford, to their UK marketing department. Both Grace and Isabelle have joined at an exciting time, with Hörmann continuing to increase their presence in the market with sound marketing support and creative promotional campaigns. Grace has specific responsibility for the promotion and support of the Hörmann Truedor range of composite doors across all media, a range which was added to the Hörmann portfolio during 2023. She is currently developing a new website, press and paid social media advertising campaigns and is updating the sales literature. She is also busy planning the forthcoming Open Day events which are to be held in May. With previous experience working for a Social Media agency and a degree in Media Studies, Grace has also taken over the running of all of the social media channels for Hörmann and produces regular email communications and campaigns to both existing and prospective customers. Production of a monthly podcast for all Hörmann UK staff is yet another of her activities. Isabelle joins the team as Marketing Administrator. A graduate in Business Management from Nottingham University, she joins Hörmann after working as a marketing graduate for a telecoms company. Isabelle oversees communications with end users, along with being the key point of contact for the sales teams for the supply of marketing materials and maintains Hörmann’s considerable stock of samples and product literature. She supports the rest of the team in the creation of new promotional campaigns, social media content, e-shots, and exhibition attendance. With its increasing popularity, Isabelle is also responsible for the administration of the Hörmann Academy and organises the training calendar throughout the year. David O’Mara, Marketing Manager comments: “It’s great to welcome Grace and Isabelle to the team. The past few years have seen the department develop a clear marketing vision for both the domestic and industrial sides of the business, together with the introduction of several exciting campaigns which have certainly surprised and engaged the market. “With the addition of Grace and Isabelle, we can strengthen our in-house creativity and bring in specific expertise to expand our social media presence whilst ensuring that we continue to deliver high levels of customer service.” For further information on Hörmann UK visit www.hormann.co.uk or call 01530 516868 UAP Expands into New 120,000ft2 HQ UAP, the specialist in locks and hardware for doors and windows, has expanded into a new 120,000ft2 headquarter building in Bury, Greater Manchester. The £750,000 investment has seen UAP relocate from sites in Radcliffe and Whitefield, bringing all its processes under one roof. As well as improving efficiency and connectivity between departments, the Orbital 60 building in Dumers Lane has more than doubled UAP’s stockholding capacity. Order fulfilment for all seven UAP brands has been streamlined through specialised racking as well as new picking systems and software. The building also houses the company’s production lines, testing centres, and training facilities. The move follows a year which has seen UAP’s overall business grow by more than 50 per cent. Strategic acquisitions with Maher London and Security Hardware helped to fuel this expansion. UAP also invested in two new businesses in 2023 - Fire Door Maintenance (FDM) and Armadillo Metal Coatings. Both are located at the new site, including FDM’s 3,000ft2 Training Academy. A total of 80 employees are based at Orbital 60 with teams at Security Hardware and Locking Systems remaining at their existing locations in the West Midlands and Tyne & Wear respectively.
