We will be transitioning into Marantec UK, marking a new chapter in our journey. We are not saying goodbye, far from it, we are announcing our intentions for growth, quality and development over the coming years. Why Marantec? Hailing from Germany, Marantec has established itself as a global powerhouse in the automation industry. They have been a pioneer in developing operator technology for doors and gates since 1957. Their mission extends beyond just automation; they aspire to simplify everyday life for their customers and contribute to a smart and worthwhile future. The foundation of their success lies in decades of experience, expertise, and a commitment to creative ideas. Seamless Communication between Brands The strong bond between Link Controls and Marantec Germany is a testament to their exceptional partnership. To consolidate this, Link Controls hired a new managing director who liaises directly with Marantec worldwide and is the glue between the two automation giants. Andy Perry – The New Managing Director at Link Controls Andy is seasoned within the automation industry, for the last 27 years having worked mostly within the commercial and domestic markets. His last job provided a step into the industrial door market further enhancing his industry experience. “My career to date also provided an opportunity to work for myself and I did so for almost 19 years. During that time, I grew the company into the UK’s largest supplier of wireless control solutions for garage doors before helping to merge it in 2019 to become the UK’s largest trade supplier.” Andy’s reasoning for joining Link Controls was: “a desire to get back to doing the things I enjoy in business, the challenges that reveal themselves and the huge opportunity that working with a company like Marantec provides. It’s important for individuals to carefully evaluate their reasons for wanting to move jobs ensuring they align with their long-term career goals and personal values and mine do with Marantec. I also believe and have a ‘need’ to really make a difference and to achieve the goal of being the UK’s number one company for automation.” When we asked Andy about his goals working with Link Controls, he said “Link Controls has the true potential to become the largest supplier of automation in the UK. With the support of our parent company Marantec GmbH, and an expansion of the current support functions, I aim to introduce new innovative products and give a fresh approach to the industry, I aspire to this goal and believe it is one that can be achieved.”
