Some of our loyal and fantastic staff have achieved promotions into new roles, here’s to an exciting future as Marantec UK. Shahla Sadeq, who was previously an Assistant Accountant, has been promoted to Head of Finance, effective as of March 1st 2024. Her new responsibilities include producing Management Accounts, submitting the company VAT return, plus sorting Corporation Tax and Payroll. She is excited at the prospect of “Being able to provide my team members with opportunities to develop their careers.” The main objectives in her first 3 months include: supervising a team of accountants, managing cashflows and the management accounts. Her end goal is to become the Financial Director of Marantec UK. Celebrating each victory with you, Shahla. A shift from the Customer Services and Warranty Department to becoming the new HR manager has been achieved by our fantastic Sharon Matchett! She’s been an extremely loyal servant of 22 years here at Marantec UK. When asked about her new role and what excites her most, she stated that “HR is all about people, their development, and their well-being. I am excited about helping individuals grow in their careers, supporting their needs, and fostering a positive workplace culture.” “I would like to identify and address skill gaps within the company and implement training to enhance employee capabilities and career development. I have just completed a Diploma in HR and have enrolled for CIPD Level 3.” A goal for the long term: “As a Mental Health First Aider, I would love to introduce holistic well-being programs that address physical, mental and emotional health, leading to improved overall employee wellness and reduced burnout.” An exciting side-step from Business Development Manager to become the Team Leader for The Middle East, India and Asia for Ray Balmer. The most exciting prospect of his new role is the opportunity to “do business in new countries experiencing new cultures” and developing new customer and business opportunities, whilst exploring the potential the regions have for growth. What does the first three months of the role look like for Ray? “Introducing myself to our existing and prospective customers in the various regions. Understanding their needs, and implementing plans and actions for beneficial working relationships. Developing a proactive team of Open Champions who are willing to exchange knowledge and innovation in order to grow together, grow the business and customers.” The ultimate achievement for him is to double the turnover in the regions.
