Engineers and industry professionals gathered to share insights, spark new ideas and celebrate the relentless drive that keeps the sector moving forward. The morning kicked off with a warm welcome and followed by a series of engaging workshops that ran throughout the day. Attendees were treated to forward-thinking sessions by Dafydd Williams from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, (MHCLG) who shared valuable insights on the government’s response to the Grenfell Report. Neil Rule of Access2 provided an update on standard TS 007-1, while Gillian McAteer from Citation offered essential advice on navigating the complexities of employment law. dhf’s own Steve Hill and Dave Jones also made their mark, discussing European regulations and sustainability initiatives that are setting the pace for industry change. The exhibition hall was buzzing with energy as exhibitors showcased their latest innovations. A standout moment was Gliderol’s launch of its new e-commerce website. The impressive display of the exhibition stands and the interaction with visitors demonstrated that the industry is keen for more face-to-face meetings and events. Visitors shared best practice, caught up with old friends and discussed new ideas that are transforming the trade. On Wednesday 5th February 2025, the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford. was the setting for a day that truly captured the spirit of the industry.
