After a hot lunch that offered the perfect opportunity for networking and informal chats, the afternoon reached an inspirational peak. Flt. Lt. John Nichol took centre stage with a keynote address that left everyone buzzing. Drawing on his personal experience as a prisoner-of-war during the first Gulf War in 1991, he spoke passionately about determination and the power of never giving up. His message resonated deeply, challenging everyone to adopt that resilient mindset in their own businesses. The day ended on a high note, with lively networking sessions and the excitement of departing with bountiful goodie bags filled with generous giveaways from sponsors and exhibitors. “It was hugely rewarding to welcome our members and other guests to join us in coming together for a highly enjoyable day,” said dhf’s Commercial Director, Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens. “A heartfelt thank you goes to the sponsors—Gliderol Garage & Industrial Doors, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions, RCS Doors, Citation Professional Solutions and Access2 - as well as to all the exhibitors whose support helped make the day so memorable and we look forward to repeating it in 2026”. www.dhfonline.org.uk
