Sometimes customers are right, and in the case of Allied Garage Doors’ customer, Mr Kempson, we did everything we could to make sure he was. Here is how this all came about. When Paul Morris from Allied Garage Doors in Sutton Coldfield went to see a potential client, he was informed that a local manufacturer could make a side-hinged door that looked like a sectional door, and could be supplied in anthracite grey (Ral 7016). It was news to Paul, and to Fort Doors, but eager to please their customers, (who are always right) Fort set about to prototype a wide-ribbed horizontal side-hinged door. So thanks to Mr Kempson (the end-user), we can now present to you a wide-ribbed horizontal side-hinged door in made to measure sizes up to 8 feet wide and a variety of UK colours. Oh, and yes they come on Fort’s new 50mm matching frame, with the option of a premier pack which includes a colour co-ordinated threshold and top stays. Fort Doors are already creating a stir in the market supplying a broad range of standard doors that all have an innovative twist. It’s a standard up and over door, on a 50mm frame, complete with a built-in pedestrian door.
