The new online sales aid for the door industry has already proved popular, with high viewer numbers and an excellent response from the trade. The aim of the virtual showroom is to provide an online resource for the industry and consumers. These professionally produced videos help to bring the doors to life, demonstrating the features and benefits of each type of door. Seeing how the doors operate and understanding their key features online is helping to provide leads to garage door specialists, as more and more consumers search online. David O’Mara, Hörmann (UK) Limited’s marketing manager is pleased with the results so far, but is keen for more specialists to make use of the free tool on their own websites. He explains, “As consumers search online for images and video it will help to build local links for all our resellers. As we will continue to recommend that consumers visit specialist centres it is highly likely they will search online for contact details and location maps. Adding the videos will reinforce the connection between Hörmann and the local centre. It also means they are more likely to visit these websites first.” All the video’s can be viewed by searching for the Hörmann UK channel on YouTube and selecting playlists.
