Over the last 24 months, NASSAU has carried out the supply and installation of almost 50 industrial doors including sectional doors and steel acoustic doors for Vinci Construction at the new Recycling and Gasification plant in Oldbury, Birmingham. What made this work so special was the supply and installation of two of the largest sectional doors in the UK. Measuring a massive 12,000mm high and 5,500mm wide, the doors enable traffic to enter the huge refuse building where they unload 1,000 tonnes of end of life vehicle parts every 6 minutes. However whilst Birmingham may have some of the largest sectional doors in the United Kingdom, NASSAU wasn’t to be outdone when it came to supplying the widest. They have pushed the scale the other way with a 15,050mm wide by 600mm high Sectional door for Scotland that stands to be one of the widest doors ever installed in the UK. The door which was fitted by Patrick Forman Industrial Doors at the site in Aberdeen, Scotland has been installed to give access to oil pipes running along the bottom of a building elevation. Using this unique solution it offers easy access whilst at the same time giving the thermal protection that is provided as standard with the NASSAU 9000F. The NASSAU 9000F Sectional Door (Foam) has been developed for intensive daily use, and to cope with countless openings and closings. It is suitable for use in factories and warehouses, logistics centres, agricultural buildings and across a wide range of special solutions.
