Belfox is the leading manufacturer of gate components for external use in Germany and is a major force on the continent, supplying household names across Germany, France and Holland. The company has a reputation for innovation and is renowned for inventing the 150mm by 150mm post, complete with drive, for gates up to 3m – a product that hit the market a decade ago to considerable acclaim. That spirit of invention has continued through to today and two of the latest products in the Belfox line-up, the Linea 4 and Linea 8 posts, are pushing back the gate component boundaries once again. These sleek gateposts house motors for both gate and barrier, with the barrier actually fitted to the post. Belfox is a company that’s also known for its bespoke approach – gate manufacturers are encouraged to say exactly what they need and the company then provides it, adapting its products as required. All products are supplied ready to use - even down to the buying company’s name being inscribed on the metalwork - and are fully height adjustable, ensuring significant savings in terms of time and money. Belfox uses high-quality aluminium profiles, meaning solid performance is matched by great looks, and can handle retro fitting as well as new manufacture. Belfox also leads the way in technology and its control systems can be operated by remote control, smartphone, key switch or finger scanner. Motors are suitable for weights from 350kg to 3000kg and there are six different control panels to choose from, which all come complete with frequency convertors. “We are excited by the prospect of introducing Belfox to the UK market,” says Belfox UK MD Danesch Missaghian. “Not only is the range of products available of the highest quality, but the Belfox ethos will be a breath of fresh air for British gate manufacturers. It’s all about working with manufacturers to provide as little or as much as they want, whether it’s just one motor or multiple complete systems, and then ensuring that everything is produced with the customer’s exact requirements in mind.” CENTURION SYSTEMS MAKES A MARK AT IFSEC 2014 Visitors to IFSEC International 2014 at the Excel couldn’t have failed to notice the presence of Centurion Systems UK, not just because of the company’s bright green stand but also thanks to its eye-catching range of access control, gate motors and automatic raise arm barriers, which are manufactured in South Africa by Centurion Systems (PTY). Centurion Systems UK is a sister company to Aluroll and is based at the same site in Oswestry, Shropshire, where it has a warehouse and soon to be completed showroom. Although new to the UK, the Centurion brand is already well-known and respected elsewhere in the world and operates in over 50 countries. The products combine many advanced and useful features suited to the UK and European market with the ruggedness you would expect from a range designed to withstand the harsh African environment. Visitors to the Centurion stand at IFSEC, which was manned by Paul McConnell and Scott Wilson from Centurion South Africa, along with Scott Rhodes - UK Sales Manager for Centurion Systems UK, were certainly impressed, with the team receiving many admiring comments from potential customers. Scott Rhodes believes that the IFSEC experience will prove to be a springboard to UK sales success: “We dealt with a huge amount of interest in Centurion products at the show, which demonstrates the demand there is out there for this range,” he says. “Things are really gathering pace and we will soon be holding periodic training sessions on the products, whilst installers will be able have a hands-on experience in our showroom.
