The new site is interactive and user-friendly, with clear pictures of all the products in the Fort Doors range and links to full product details, including colour options. The website also features customer testimonials, full warranty information and a news section that features all the latest updates from the Fort Doors team. In addition, customers will be able to download the latest price list direct from the site. There is more to come on the new website as the company is currently working on an approved installer finder, which will allow visitors to the site to find a local Fort Doors- approved installer. The installer finder will be simple to use, as site users will just have to enter their postcode and the installers nearest to their location will then automatically be listed. “We are very excited about the new website” says Fort Doors Director Lee Moon. “It’s easier to use and displays our range far more efficiently than the old one, so it is better for our customers and serves as a much more effective ‘shop window’ for our products and our services as a company. We are adding the approved installer finder because we are getting increasing amounts of calls from customers asking about installers in their area, so it seemed a sensible decision. Not only will this cut down on the amount of calls we have to deal with – leaving us free to help customers in other ways - but, most importantly, it will help our installers get more business.” The new site comes at a time when Fort Doors is improving service across the company. Other recent changes include an increase in the number of stock doors, enabling quicker delivery, as well as a decision to manufacture all products in the UK, meaning even doors that are custom-made to exact specifications can be delivered within a three-week period. Other improvements include a revamp of paint facilities so that customers now have access to any colour from the Ral chart, with no resultant delay in delivery, and the introduction of a new standard paint finish for horizontal/vertical designs. In addition, products in the canopy doors range now benefit from a new spring system, which features a spring 20% larger in diameter that is finished in chrome to ensure a longer life span. This also means the door is easier to tension and adjust on site and gives better balance to the door operation. According to Lee Moon, these improvements are already having a positive effect: “Although we are a relatively new company we are always looking to improve things at Fort Doors and that means listening to our customers and responding to their requirements. All these recent changes have been implemented to offer our clients greater choice and better customer service. It is certainly having the desired effect, as the feedback we are receiving from our installers is very positive and supportive of the improvements we have been making.” If you would like to be included on the list of Fort Doors-approved installers, please email your details to info@fortdoors.co.uk with the areas you cover. Your details will then be put online and be available to site users when the installer finder goes live.
