UK customers of the SOMMER group – one of the market leaders in door operators – recently enjoyed a trip to the firm’s open days and celebrations at their HQ and factory in Stuttgart, Germany. This was part of a two-day event where the SOMMER group opened its doors to clients from across the world, welcoming more than 2500 people over the two days. Guests enjoyed an entertaining behind-the- scenes look at the SOMMER factory, as well as educational talks, presentations and new product demonstrations. It wasn’t just business. Also on offer during the day was a vast array of entertainment including a baseball net, football target shooting area, a Segway circuit, live music and dance shows. A trip to Stuttgart’s famous Mercedes museum was also enjoyed, whilst football fans did not miss out as England vs Russia was screened live! Great food and drink was available during both days courtesy of SOMMER and a three course buffet dinner offered each night to approx. 1000 people. After that guests where thoroughly entertained late into the night with a live band, dancing and acrobatic shows, not to mention 5000 litres of top quality German beer supplied by a very happy local brewery selected by SOMMER. Each night’s entertainment was finished off by a spectacular laser show.
