Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk NEW ANGLE ON SAFETY IN2 Access has recently developed a new angled aluminium mounting profile for its Coverline range of safety edges, which now offers even more flexibility for mounting on automatic gates. Designed to offer enhanced safety on sliding, swing and bi-folding gates using Bircher’s already proven rubber safety edge profile, this angled mounting rail offers an additional 20 degree angle whilst retaining its flat mount onto the gate leaf or post. This innovative product also offers a more rugged construction along with bevelled edges for easier mounting of the rubber profile itself. Safety edges fitted to support columns can now be angled to reduce the risk of a draw in hazard. They are also ideally suited for mounting on the bottom rail of swing gates to eliminate any crushing or shearing hazards. “Due to the design of the new angled aluminium rail, existing installations fitted with Coverline safety edges can be easily updated for just the price of the angled aluminium rail.” Said Derek Foreman Director. “As it is the aluminium that is angled, the customer does not have to stock two edge profile variants.” 85 THE door industry journal summer 2016 powered gates
