Over the years JCM has focused its efforts on placing innovation within the reach of its clients in order to make their lives easier and their companies more profitable. With consolidated, reliable and constantly improving access controls, JCM also offers the RADIOBAND wireless-based safety system. Until 2006 the market offered anti-crushing protection on moving automatic doors using a spiral cable. This product however involved cable wear problems, which led in turn to the need for repairs and more expensive maintenance costs. In 2006 JCM made an innovation in automatic door safety with the RADIOBAND system, a radio solution that is compatible with any safety edge and with doors and control panels of all types. As the cables are no longer part of the safety edge, our clients have a more competitive product in terms of installation and maintenance. This system meets European and North American regulatory requirements (TÜV, UL, FCC, CE) and is an excellent option for protecting people and vehicles from door collisions. Following the company’s enthusiasm for innovation, in 2011 JCM launched a new, no-edge radio-based safety system. RADIOSENS is a device for domestic roller shutters that fulfils European regulations (TÜV, CE), detecting contact risks without safety edges and so avoiding assembly-related problems. Ease of installation, as because no edge is required, the RADIOSENS system is the most economical and reliable solution for anti- collision protection for domestic roller shutters. Today, with over 20 development engineers in our R&D Department, JCM has once again made an innovation breakthrough, with the CAPTIVE (NO TOUCH) system: this is a device with a safety edge that incorporates non-contact obstacle detection. This product has been designed for industrial metallic roller doors and gates. CAPTIVE prevents door collisions with vehicles or people, so avoiding any and all injury and damage related problems. The CAPTIVE system is also ideal for areas that require some measure of vigilance (schools, nursing homes, etc.) as operation is anticipatory and non-contact. The CAPTIVE system will be available in early September. The trade fairs at Perimeter Protection (16-18 January 2018, Nuremberg) and R+T 2018 (27 February - 3 March 2018, Stuttgart) will be featuring practical demonstrations for installation and operation.
