Door Industry Journal - Summer 2017
Have We Got Some News for You! Back in April, the Door Industry Journal were contacted by the BBC’s production company, Hat Trick Productions Ltd., who produce the programme “Have I Got News for You”. Initially we thought it was just one of those suspicious emails, but after a little research we disproved our thoughts and made contact. Well, a month or so later, on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May, we were featured, gaining some light-hearted publicity, on the follow-up BBC programme “Have I Got a Bit More News for You” which was screened at midnight on 2nd May. The programme featured The Door Industry Journal as its guest publication in the missing words round part of the show. The show’s presenter Kirsty Young, introduced the magazine as being: “A good read despite it always getting slammed by the critics”. A couple of incomplete headlines from other newspapers and magazines were then debated, asking the panelists to complete the headlines, which they did with their usual hilarity. It was then our turn for one of our articles to be featured and the headline completed: Bobby Davro and popular Midlands DJ Ian “Chili” Chilvers xxxxx xx xxx xxxx xxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxx xxxxxx To have a guess at the missing words, you can either take a look at the article here - goo.gl/gsf3Jj or see the answer below. Unfortunately, the BBC only keep recordings on their iPlayer website for 30 days so it’s not possible to see the programme.
