With a SMART chip fitted, customers will be able to choose the level of information they wish to receive including a ‘black box’ feature with the door’s unique information being stored off site and therefore recoverable in the event of a fire, flood or accidental damage. With the ability to generate monthly, weekly or daily reports, set alarms, monitor the door’s performance to identify any issues before they become a problem either as a download or ‘live’. The system is password protected and customers can allow multi users access to predefined levels viewed on any internet-enabled device on site or remotely. Operatives will be able to view a real-time map of all Smart Fire Doors in a building and ensure that they are compliant. Doors can be programmed to alarm when propped open or when opened, to record the number of times they have been opened and prompt when maintenance is due and to show if they are closing too slowly or quickly. The Smart Fire Doors software has been designed to integrate seamlessly into existing alarm systems enabling users to create reports immediately following alarm tests or incidents. The teams at Drax Technology and Firedoors have used their extensive experience to develop the Smart Fire Doors system to offer specifiers the ability to meet the highest standards of fire door compliance, to maintain these standards and to prove compliance simply and quickly.
