Door Industry Journal - Summer 2018

THE door industry journal summer 2018 49 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk Domestic Garage Doors NRG Automation Plan to Double Sales within 5 Years (for the second time) Last year this publication reported on the expansion at NRG Automation’s warehouse facility in Cheshire. When we talked to them last year, Matthew Berry explained the reasoning behind adding an additional 5000 square feet to the premises. In 2014 NRG Automation had a 5-year plan to double sales, a target which was reached within 40 months, so the plan now is to do it all over again. That was the thinking behind building the extension, to facilitate the next step in not only growing the business but having a clear plan of how to do it. One accusation we used to get was that we were always too busy for the amount of stock we had available. So, with the warehouse being fully stocked for a year now, it is time to start banging the drums, to challenge us to supply you with tubular motors. Mark Molyneux, NRG’s Procurement and Stock manager implemented a stocking plan that has paid dividends for NRG Automation’s customers. In the last 12 months, we have successfully forecasted the amount of motors we require, along with a buffer stock. So, do not be surprised to hear your NRG Sales Manager asking you how many tube motors you require in 3 months’ time, as well as asking for orders today! The warehouse is home to everything you would need to automate one- piece doors, sectional doors, and of course roller doors. Whether you require everything to manufacture your own roller door, NRG Automation can supply you with it all. From market leading control panels, industry required safety edges, optical eyes and rubber, to a range of tubular motors complete with safety breaks, are all in stock. For the retro market, NRG Automation are able to supply you with products to ensure you can get your customer’s door up and running and comply with current legislation, at a fair price, and with the technical support that has become synonymous with NRG Automation. It is also the place to get the 800n Black Edition operator which has become an industry favourite, due to its built in anti- burglar software and bi-directional facility, as well as its ability to open doors up to 6 metres wide and 3 metres high. But, Matthew was keen to impress upon us that NRG Automation are not just box movers. They pride themselves, and credit a huge amount of their success to the field support they offer, as well as the technical courses they run that allow you to be a step ahead of your competitors during the selling process and while on site. The next step in supporting their customers and products, is the opening of a brand-new showroom at NRG Automation. Not only will this showcase their market leading products, but it will be used to educate installers on the many ways they can overcome on-site issues, and get paid there and then, rather than spend time returning to site. Kimberley Arnold, NRG Automation’s technical manager is looking forward to welcoming you to the showroom to give you the opportunity to learn more from the UK’s control panel market leader.
