Over 70% of standard colour door orders make the most of the manufacturer’s offer to match the box and guides to the curtain at no extra cost. Aluroll announced that they would be offering this option as standard two years ago, and as a result the percentage of installations with colour matched box and guide channels has tripled, from 22%. The research has also shown a shift in colour trends. While White is still the most popular colour, at just over 30% of roller garage doors, Anthracite has replaced Black in second place, increasing from 6% to 17% since 2016. Interestingly, 4 out of the top 5 RAL colours specified for powder coating are also grey tones. Aluroll’s standard colour range is one of the largest in the marketplace. The newest addition Chartwell Green is still increasing in popularity and looks like it will soon overtake Fir Green as the most popular shade of green.
