Duo-Leaf Side Hinge Garage Doors are a combination of modern materials, contemporary design, traditional practicality and what’s more, they’re manufactured in good old Yorkshire. With this combination of factors, the key benefit is that delivery on certain doors is only 3 weeks from order, due to in-house production. Modern internal corner clamps secure the 45O sections together, which means no welding or “weak points” on the corners or joints produced on our modern CNC machinery. The outer goal post frame of the doorset is produced in a sleek, high quality aluminium extruded section. This section provides a rigid anchor point for the door leaf sections to be hung from and firm points when securing to the structural opening. The main door leaves are made from German engineered sandwich panels, which are formed to make a 45mm thick panel with steel outer and inner faces. They are then filled with polyurethane foam, the standard product associated with insulated products. Each door leaf is then secured to the outer goal post frame with modern, aluminium bodied and steel peg hinges. Each pair is capable of supporting 100kg gross leaf weight, making them more than sufficient for supporting these doors. The concealed nature of the hinge hides the hinges screws making them very secure. EPDM rubber seals are built into sections of the frame and leaf, providing greatly improved draught sealing. A standard low 12mm threshold is supplied which keeps the door low to the ground, however different options are available to help with uneven driveways.
