The changes include a new website, which will feature online ordering to streamline and speed up the purchase process. West Mercia customers will also benefit from a new cloud-based business management software, which can be accessed through the company’s site via a special client portal. Customers can use the portal to easily manage their account – by viewing order status, checking and altering details, and more. West Mercia also recently invested in brand new trucks, supplied by Mercedes-Benz UK, to increase and improve its country-wide delivery capacity. And, as Robert Tuckey Jnr, Sales Director at West Mercia Sections explains, the driving force behind the improvements has been the success of a 95mm foam-filled lath – the WM95 - which entered production two years ago. “The WM95, although it has only been on the market for a couple of years, is proving to be increasingly popular with roller door manufacturers across the country,” he says. “This popularity is adding considerably to our customer base and this has made us look at our digital offering and delivery service. Both these aspects of the business have been improved to ensure a better service for all our customers – old and new.” The WM95 is a twin skin profile roll formed from a single strip of material and with a full polyurethane foam-filled central core - giving it outstanding thermal and acoustic properties. The lath weighs 11.3kgs per square metre, has been wind-load tested to class 5 (without wind endlocks) and has a 3.3w/m 2 k U Value through its central core. Suitable for both industrial and domestic application, the WM95 is manufactured from PVC laminated steel and is available in a range of anti-scratch coloured coatings and wood grains. There is also a galvanised steel option, which can be supplied as a mill finish and is ideal for powder-coating for buyers who need more unusual colours. Vision windows are also available. The WM95 is just part of the company’s large product range. West Mercia Sections is the UK’s leading manufacturer of industrial door components and operates from two UK manufacturing facilities.
