SWS Online Continues to Grow SWS UK has further invested in its revolutionary online ordering system, SWS Online. An expanding product range plus new, exciting improvements to their expansive online components catalogue are just some of the new features available to SWS UK’s distributors. Launched in early 2017, SWS Online is a custom-built online ordering platform with a host of other additional features. Created for their network of trade distributors, the intuitive system enables customers to order with ease, raise quotations 24 hours a day and access bespoke technical drawings with a few clicks of a mouse. With almost 1000 registered users, SWS Online has soared in popularity with distributors praising the site’s ease of operation and multi- functional uses. The latest products to be added to SWS Online are Xpanda, the innovative trackless barrier system and the company’s new and improved fire protection range; SeceuroFire Fire Shutters and Curtains. The detailed development of SeceuroFire online even includes a new, and completely bespoke online configurator. This clever tool returns valid options suitable for the size and fitment information inputted by the user. All relevant measurements are then highlighted on a fitment specific drawing so installers can be sure of the headroom requirements. The latest additions to SWS Online join existing ranges; SeceuroGlide garage doors, SeceuroShield security products and SeceuroDoor industrial doors, meaning the intuitive and extremely popular system is now home to the industry’s most comprehensive range of products available for online orders and quotations. It’s just gets better and better… Not one to rest on their laurels, SWS UK has also made exciting new improvements to the Components and Spares area of SWS Online, making it be even better than it was before. As well as an enhanced keyword search function which means sourcing the correct item is quicker and easier than ever, installers now have access to a greater range of components including electrical safety edges, additional spares for SeceuroDoor 95 / SeceuroDoor 100 and the complete range of RTS motors and controls. SWS UK’s Managing Director, Kevin Lindeque said: “As a business, we are extremely proud of the accomplishments we have made with SWS Online. The overall feedback received from our customers has been outstanding, and far surpassed our original expectations. Kevin joined the company straight from school in 1980, with the then Jack Appleton Lock Company, working in the production area as a junior. He progressed though the ranks to become the Quality Manager. The company became Security Engineering Limited, when purchased by Delpena Engineering to then change its name to the current Securefast plc, when Duncan Crawley joined as Managing Director in 1998. Seeing Kevin’s potential Duncan moved him up into his current position as Purchasing Manager with responsibility for the warehouse and distribution. Kevin remembers the early days when the Appleton’s lived on site during the week and travelled home to Lancashire at the weekend. Annie Appleton would run the factory with a rod of Iron and Jack would always have a cancelled order in the boot of the car for some weekend cash! Kevin has been a key member of the team as the company evolved from a mechanical lock and padlock manufacturer to one of the UK’s leading electronic locking suppliers. The team at Securefast wish Kevin the very best and look forward to another 40 years of Service! Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk Industry News 31 THE door industry journal summer 2020
