So, what exactly is Ellard’s new wireless safety edge system and what are its features and benefits? It’s a battery powered transmitter that connects to your safety edge, which in turn is monitored by a receiver connected to your control panel. Any activation of the safety edge triggers a wireless signal to the receiver to stop and reopen the door or gate. The transmitters monitor the state of the safety edge sending information back to the receiver ensuring safety and compliant operation at all times. They are ideal for any system that has moving safety edges including industrial doors and automated gates. Up to 2 safety edges can be connected to each transmitter. Each receiver can be programmed to accept safety edge information from up to 3 transmitters, in total up to 6 safety edges can be monitored.
