Since they have started, the range of products has grown massively and now they stock over 2000 different items. Along with changes in technology and requirements of customers, the company has always tried to keep ahead of the curve, and always looking to see what is the next essential item in the industry. From this ethos, Easygates are now focusing heavily on full home or workplace automation. Many of the traditional automation manufactures have started to combine home automation into their range. Nice automation acquired Fibaro three years ago, now they are combining the products into one Yubii range that can control almost anything in the home. Liftmaster has their well established, MyQ system and Somfy have the Tahoma home systems. Some of these systems are a little daunting to make the first steps with but the rewards can be great, allowing installers to offer a much wider and profitable service to customers. Easygates Direct has identified that there is a need for training and support within this new market. This summer they open the 5000 square foot Smart & Secure Centre in Halesowen, West Midlands. This will be a combined retail and trade showroom, that will offer installers the option to send their customers in to experience all forms of home automation before they purchase. With an exhibition-style layout, the showroom will have a hands-on approach. Practical real-world examples will show how home automation can be implemented and be of benefit to the consumer. Above the showroom will be the new Smart Technologies Training Centre. Easygates Direct will be offering free regular practical training on all home automation technologies. This is on top of the already established gate, safety and garage automation training that have offered to customers for several years. “We want this venture to inspire installers to grasp the opportunities with these new and growing technologies,” said Tony Daniels-Gooding, Easygates Limited’s MD, “Our aim is to guide our customers with free hands-on training and support, so they have the confidence to increase their product offering, and help them grow their businesses.” The Smart Secure Centre will be opening on the 19th of July 2021.
