With a history spanning over 10 years, SWS UK introduced SeceuroSchools to support its distributors and installers with practical, hands-on training and live demonstrations of correct installation techniques. The events are a highlight on SWS UK’s calendar and have always been well attended by both installers and sales staff. Perfect Partnership with GfA New for 2023, SWS UK has partnered with its supplier GfA to bring cohesive technical training at GfA’s premises in Warwick. This new, more central location attracted many of SWS UK’s nationwide distributors who attended the most recent events held in June. The schools were held over two days and were split into two categories: Residential and Industrial, covering the SeceuroGlide range of garage doors and the SeceuroDoor Industrial Shutters. Attendees of the Industrial school also benefitted from exclusive GfA training, covering GfA industrial drives and Bluetooth diagnostics. Leading the training was SWS UK’s Technical Coordinator Duncan Maffey. Duncan, who has been with SWS UK for 7 years has extensive knowledge of the company’s products and has supported many of its customers with over-the-phone and on-site technical support during his years as a technical advisor. Using a purpose-built SWS show frame, Duncan used his expertise to guide attendees through practical, hands-on installations and programming practice. Demonstrations of SWS UK’s fitter-friendly features for quicker, safer installations were also provided. Kevin Lindeque, Commercial Director said: “It’s gratifying to know that our SeceuroSchools remain such sought-after events. As our products have evolved, so too have our training days, and we’re always looking at ways we can develop our training to provide our customers with additional support.
