These awards, held annually, are a testament to Hörmann UK’s commitment to recognising and rewarding the best companies in the industry. Open to all Hörmann Partner Standard dealers with a completed landing page; the awards will feature eight different categories, with RollMatic T Fitter of the Year, Composite Door Fitter of the Year and the Best Green Initiative being new for 2024. All dealers can also put themselves forward for the prestigious Dealer of the Year. This year all entries will be submission based via an online entry system, with the winners each receiving an engraved trophy, certificate and email banner. Previous Dealer awards have generated plenty of interest, with all categories being hotly contested. Dave Close, Director at Doorfit, who won the Dealer of the Year for 2023, comments: “There’s no doubt that it was an honour for Doorfit to be shortlisted as the ‘Dealer of the Year’ alongside such worthy competition, but winning the award was amazing and emphasised how strong we can be when we work together. We are great believers in team ethics and this certainly wouldn’t have been possible without our staff’s continued commitment. Every individual involved strives to offer the absolute best service and this award, alongside the others we have won, is a recognition of a completed mission. It’s great to receive acknowledgement for a job well done and it’s something that we promote widely in our market, with our awards and trophies being proudly displayed in our showroom and creating a real talking point.” Wolfgang Gorner will lead the judging panel, which will include experts from the Hörmann Team and two external judges: Derek Hibbart, Editor of Door Industry Journal and Steve Sidebottom, Editor of Clearview magazine. Partner standard dealers should look for mailings and information from Hörmann that provides details on entry criteria and further details of all the categories. The competition will be open for entries on 2nd September and close on 14th October. The winners of all categories will be announced on 11th November 2024.
