This dedicated address can be accessed by all members of the customer services team, one step in helping to speed up response times when dealing with enquiries through to completion. Another benefit of using this dedicated address is that it can be monitored as part of a process of continual improvement, to help ensure that Hörmann meets the needs and expectations of customers. In future, e-mail replies to enquiries will come from this address and will include the signature sign-off of the team member who has dealt with the enquiry. Adding this e-mail address to electronic address books should prevent these messages being blocked by spam filters. For general product enquiries, the team can be contacted on:- E-mail productservices@hormann.co.uk Tel: 01530 513030 Fax 01530 513031 NEW APPOINTMENTS AT HÖRMANN Area Sales Manager, Mark Lester has been promoted to the newly created position of Customer Services Manager. With a precision engineering background and over eight years of door industry experience with Hörmann, Mark has a thorough understanding of both the industry and customers’ needs. In this new role Mark will appraise service across the UK business and work closely with the senior management team to improve service delivery. As a part of this process Mark will temporarily take on overall management of the Product Services, from the receipt of a new enquiry to completion. Staff training will also form an important part of this new role both internally and with customers, particularly as a new online quotation system and customer ordering portal are set to be introduced. Taking over the role of central Area Sales Manager vacated by Mark, will be Luke Freeman, returning to Hörmann after gaining valuable garage door retail sales experience. Luke previously worked in the product services team at Hörmann and was heavily involved in the support of key house builder accounts. Announcing the appointments, Managing Director, David Newcombe, was keen to highlight the enthusiasm and experience the two appointments bring. “Obviously we know both Mark and Luke very well and they know the company inside out. This means they will both hit the ground running as we strive to deliver better services to all our customers.” For customers in the central area, Mark Lester’s mobile number will be transferred to Luke Freeman, with Mark directly contactable on his office number. These numbers are: Mark Lester 01530 513032 Luke Freeman 07753 862759 SECURED BY DESIGN IN ACTION As well as gaining Secured by Design accreditation these images from Express Garage Doors in Oakley, near Dunfermline, graphically demonstrate the break in resistance of Hörmann sectional garage doors. Fitted on a self-build project the Hörmann LPU garage door clearly resisted significant attempts to break in. Callum Dryburgh, sales manager of Express Garage Doors explains what they found on the site visit. “When we arrived we could see the scaffolding plank and pole across the crate as you can see in the picture. The door had obviously withstood a serious attempt to prise it open. The scaffolding plank had splintered under the pressure and examining the inside of the door we estimate they had only managed to prise the door up about six inches. The mechanical lock held firm and both the top and bottom sections were damaged, but they didn’t get in, even with the scaffolding pole.” As well as attempting to lever the garage door open, a concerted effort appears to have been made to break in to the house through the matching Hörmann aluminium entrance door as shown here.
