Two further models - ProMate+ and ProMate Fire will follow later in the year. Safety, Environmental, Legislation, Power management, and Maintenance are fundamental aspects that CSL have addressed in the design of ProMate. Safety - ProMate has been designed to allow trained roller shutter fitters who are not qualified electricians to confidently connect and commission all the necessary wiring required when fitting single phase roller shutters . Connection to the mains is made using a plug and play IEC lead and socket arrangement; colour coded connectors are used to separate the tubular motor and key switch wiring. Environmental - Where possible, recycled materials have been used. What makes ProMate a market leader in this area is that ProMate consumes less than 0.4 Watts in standby mode, this is a ground breaking achievement and will set the bench mark for all other control equipment manufacturers to follow.. Legislation - Class B software, category 2, performance level C safety brings ProMate in line with the latest standards pertaining to roller shutter applications. Power management - To provide a seamless mode of operation for the customer a plug and play Battery Back Up (BBU) is available, in the event of a power failure; ProMate monitors the key switch, and if it is used wakes up the BBU, providing standby power to allow the shutter to open or close. After the shutter has stopped moving ProMate automatically shuts down the BBU. Maintenance - An interactive user interface giving feedback combined with mode of operation selection provides the roller shutter engineer with all the information required to, commission, fault find and carry out maintenance in a quick and safe manner.
