Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk 26 THE door industry journal winter 2013 industrial doors ALUTECH GROUP PUT ROOTS DOWN IN GERMANY THROUGH ACQUISITION OF GÜNTHER-TORE The ALUTECH Group of companies signed the agreement to acquire the German company Günther-Tore on September 30th 2013. The negotiations surrounding the purchase and preparation of the deal took about a year. ALUTECH are delighted that finally, one of the most famous German producers of sectional and roller garage doors has become a part of their group. Günther-Tore has been working in the Western European market for more than 40 years. It is well-known as the manufacturer of big and extremely big industrial doors. In 1972 the company was put into The Guinness Book of Records as the producer of the biggest roller garage door in the world - 700 square metres. The product range of Günther-Tore is not limited only to sectional doors. The company also offers industrial and roller garage doors, different types of rolling grilles up to 15 m wide and roller doors up to 30m wide. The ALUTECH Group of companies acquired the headquarters plant of Günther-Tore near Frankfurt-am-Mein (Germany) and this will allow expanding the production facilities of ALUTECH Group. Günther-Tore owns the production facilities to manufacture all major parts of sectional and roller garage doors including the production lines of sandwich panels for sectional doors, steel and aluminium profiles of different sizes. ALUTECH also took over the control of Günther-Tore sales network including the sales offices in France, Germany and Austria. Expanding the sales network ALUTECH got access to new customers in the markets of Western Europe, Asia and Africa. Mr Alexey Zhukov, Director General of ALUTECH Group of companies, made comments on the significance of purchasing the German company for the Group and shared the plans of further development: “We have known Günther-Tore for a long time and have been closely connected. When we started producing ALUTECH sectional doors, we based them on the experience and technology of this German company. I would like to say that the quality of Günther parts helped us a lot to enter successfully the CIS and Eastern Europe markets.
