Although Fort does offer a range of entry level doors at competitive prices, they do not scrimp on the quality of the product. Fort offers a competitively priced 50mm frame as standard: secure clunk locks; wider rollers for a smoother operation; and as part of their entry level range; a mid-ribbed and a Georgian panel. All panels are fully finished in the new stippled effect powder coating, adding a real quality feel to the product. “The new Georgian range was only launched in August, but it has been no surprise that they have taken off so dramatically, especially for site work” says Matthew Berry, Sales Director at Fort Doors. When Hywel Window, from Abbey Garage Doors (NW) Ltd in Wrexham, was called to a site meeting to discuss an order for 21 doors which had to meet the strict requirements of a Residents’ association; he turned to Fort Doors for assistance. He knew that a wide range of heights and sizes were going to need to be covered and that all the doors would need to match. Hywel said: “Because Fort Doors offer a 6’ high Georgian panel I knew that I would be covered if the residents chose to go down that route. I was able to offer 5 different styles of door, and whichever one they agreed on, I knew Fort could supply it, and help me out with any awkward sizes. The 50mm frame was also a great help, which meant I could maximise the panel size, and not have to supply as many made to measures, which I knew the residents really appreciated”. With the addition of 4-point locking the residents of Ulverscroft are extremely pleased with their new extra secure Fort Garage Doors. Matthew Berry, Sales Director at Fort Doors explains: “As soon as we launched with a CE mark, and ISO accreditation, interest in the product soared. “Many customers have been pleased to support a new British Manufacturer, and their initial trepidation was overcome with some great products; innovative solutions; and friendly service. “My personal favourite product has been the wide-ribbed up and over which has given my customers a serious and inexpensive alternative to a sectional door”. Richard Beck of Wakefield Garage Doors added: “Forts 9-panel Georgian has been a real winner with many of my traditional clients who wanted a like for like garage door. The addition of a Georgian side-hinged door (as pictured right) has been a top notch addition to my portfolio. “What has been extremely helpful has been Fort’s 50mm frame which has allowed us to maximise panel widths even on tracked doors”.
