The impressive new building includes a bigger warehouse, more training and showroom facilities for customers and larger office and workshop space for staff. The move has multiplied the office space to 32,000 sq ft, facilitating the company’s plans to sustain its strong market position, enable future growth and better serve its customers throughout the UK. The move also saw the consolidation of HUB Parking Technology, previously situated in Epsom, with the Access Automation side of the business which has always been in Basingstoke. 36 staff are now based in the office in addition to the many field based sales representatives and parking engineers. The bigger warehouse allows increased stock holding, enabling next day supply on the majority of products and includes a designated trade counter for an enhanced customer service experience. Purpose built training facilities provide space for up to 25 students and utilise the latest technology, including an interactive projector. A linked catering area provides more comfortable facilities for delegates. There is a modern and spacious reception area with large showroom facilities to demonstrate the full range of products offered by FAAC, including parking products, gate automation, barriers, bollards, automatic swing and sliding doors, DAAB industrial gate equipment and Magnetic pedestrian turnstiles and specialist barriers. This is ideally situated between reception and the training room. There are also larger offices and meeting spaces, a state of the art boardroom with all the latest digital equipment and extensive workshop space for the technical teams. The new offices boast ample parking spaces right on the doorstep and are situated 5 minutes drive from the original offices, close to both junction 5 and 6 of the M3. The hinge guards are designed to fix to the hinge style of the gate and to the gate post preventing anyone from pushing hands or fingers into entrapment areas. Previously hinge gaps have been protected by safety edges which activate when an obstruction is detected; an arm or leg must be in a position to activate the trigger switch. Rubber hinge guard protectors prevent the obstruction from getting near the danger area and therefore are ideal for schools, factories or any pedestrianised areas.
