On 23rd October the team wore bright pink hi-vis waistcoats, with some even donning pink accessories such as scarves and shower caps on their quest to gain donations from customers and the general public. Back at the Excel head office the company also held an internal raffle and bake sale. Wear it Pink is an annual event run by leading breast cancer awareness charity Breast Cancer Now which sees companies and individuals wear pink to raise money and awareness to the cause as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year the charity raises around £2 million on the day with approximately 7,093 schools, 39,964 workplaces and 8,256 homes and social venues getting involved.
