33 THE door industry journal winter 2015 ALUROLL’S STEEL SHUTTERS RECEIVE LPCB APPROVAL Leading security shutter manufacturer Aluroll has just received Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approval across multiple steel shutters. The Elite steel range includes the single skinned S76, the P76 version with vision perforations, and the double skinned i100. Meeting the LPS 1175 specification for resistance to attack, they span Security Ratings 1 to 4, making them ideal for a wide array of potential applications. The i100 Elite is available in both SR3 and SR4 levels, becoming the most secure product across Aluroll’s entire range. It is therefore suitable for high security premises such as banks, Government buildings and at-risk commercial sites. As part of the SR4 assessment the roller shutter was required to resist forced entry using power tools for at least 10 minutes, withstanding damage with ease and demonstrating its ability to protect a property from the most determined career criminals. It is not only the double skinned steel lath which demonstrates incredible strength, but the accompanying guide channels, box and end plates too. All of these components are manufactured from strong steel, while deeper guide channels with bullet locks protect one of the most commonly targeted areas from attack. The i100 Elite SR3 and SR4 are suitable for an internal face fit and have a three phase motor with chain manual override as standard. For a medium to high level of protection, the S76 provides SR2 levels of assurance. This shutter offers insurance approval for commercial and industrial sites which aren’t quite as high risk. The SR1 rated P76 has a similar specification, with the addition of a perforated slat profile for added vision and ventilation.
